Aim: Therapeutic abortion is a topic of interest at the social level, ethical and human rights of concern to women can not have a proper pregnancy and the fetus is not viable and the women can not decide whether to continue with pregnancy.
This topic is very important for my future professional because I can reflect on how important it can be for the mother take this desicion and how it affects society in this.
Purpose: Therapeutic abortion is caused with the intent to remove the fetus, with or without medical assistance.
Methods/materials/subjects/procedures: Is practiced when there are risks in life or health of women, or when the fetus has no chance of survival outside the womb. Some complications can be excessive blood loss, uterine perforation and infection., etc.
Conclusions: Currently the therapeutic abortion in Chile is penalized is necessary to create a law that protects those frustrated mothers.
